I have been working as a Clinical Psychologist since 2015, supporting adults, adolescents and families across public and private mental health settings. I am particularly interested in how our early experiences and relationships shape the way we understand ourselves, relate to others and navigate challenges in adult life.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, complex trauma, difficulties with emotion regulation, relationship challenges, low self-esteem and longstanding patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to change. This may involve exploring family-of-origin experiences, recurring dynamics in romantic relationships, or how earlier relationships continue to influence the way they see themselves and connect with others.
My approach is collaborative, curious and relational. I draw on Schema Therapy, Mentalization-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to help clients make sense of their experiences, recognise patterns and work towards meaningful change.
I also have a particular interest in family therapy and parent–child relationships. I work with families experiencing conflict, disconnection or difficulties understanding one another, helping them recognise unhelpful patterns and develop new ways of communicating and responding. My earlier career in public mental health included extensive work across inpatient, day-patient and outpatient settings, supporting young people and families with complex needs.
Outside work, I’m also a mum. Parenting has given me another appreciation for how rewarding, messy and challenging relationships and family life can be, and how even when we understand what is happening, changing familiar patterns can be complex.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold a PhD, have authored more than 10 publications and have been a Board-approved supervisor since 2020.
